From your first day in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications (CoJMC), you'll have courses with a mix of public relations, advertising and journalism concepts. You can plunge right into learning experiences and get face-to-face with working professionals through our PR club. Membership in the Public Relations Student Society of America gives you a head start on internships and gaining the experience you'll need to compete for the best jobs.

So what do you want to do?

Create relationships for your organization with journalists, bloggers, and opinion leaders? Develop your client's image through story pitches, news releases, video scripts, and speeches? Create print and Web-based communications? Be a company spokesperson in media interviews? Coordinate social media outreach?

We'll teach you how. But you decide on the courses you want to customize your curriculum. Study public relations at COJMC and get ready for one of the best jobs. For more information, contact Frauke Hachtmann, fhachtmann@unl.edu
